Our Mission

Stewards of the Earth Farmers Market is part of a faith-based initiative to provide Georgia-grown produce and all-natural meats and dairy to residents of the surrounding area of North Springs United Methodist Church. We believe it is our responsibility to be good stewards (managers) of the earth’s resources and to put it back to its original beauty. Our growers and producers use the least harmful chemicals or compost instead of harsh fertilizer and they use natural or approved methods for fighting insects. Our beef, pork, poultry and goat are all grass-fed, free-range and humanely harvested.

We also believe that nutrition education and the implementation of community gardens should be a way of life and that every person has the right to grow at least a part of what they eat. Knowledge is power over diabetes, obesity and chronic disease. Physical labor helps us to appreciate what we have.

Our History

Stewards of the Earth is a new farmers market just having opened October 23, 2010 in conjunction with the church’s annual Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch.

It soon became apparent that there was an untapped market in the surrounding area that included many apartment complexes and single-family homes. North Springs United Methodist Church, 7770 Roswell Road NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30350, provides the space, volunteers and support for the market.
